Day 1 – Arrival in Irkutsk
Accommodation in hotel
City sightseeing tour with visit to Art museum
Concert in Volkonskiys’ house museum
Day 2 – Transfer to Listvyanka village on the way:
visit to the museum of outdoor museum of Wooden Architecture “Taltzy”
Excursion to the Baikal Museum
Departure by evening train to Ulan-Ude
Day 3 – Arrival to Ulan-Ude
Transfer to hotel
Accommodation in the hotel « Barguzin».
Walk in the town. Visit to the building of Buryat’s State
Academic Dramatic Theatre
Sightseeing of the unique list «On the land Gesser»
in the interior of national theatre. Rest.
Day 4 – Sightseeing tour « Heritage Siberian town» ( bus-tour, 2 hours)
With visit to remarkable sites and monuments: districts of old Sibarian town,
Orthodox and Buddhist Temples, view ground, historical and modern trade
centers. Excursion to the outdoor Ethnography museum of Transebaikalian’s
peoples (2,5 hours). Lunch – picnic: buryat national dishes.
Participation in the shaman ceremony. Meet with scientists, specialists in
archaeology, ethnography, religious studies. Local folklore.
Day 5 – Excursion to the Ivolginsky Buddhist datsan ( Temple, Monastery) –
Center in the Buddism in Russia . (bus-tour, 40 km). Participation in the
morning service, excursion on the territory of datsan, visit of the museum,
book-stack, acquiring of souvenirs. Meet with priests. Visit to the sacral place
«Konovyas’ Gesser» (mythological hero of the Central-Asiatic Epos).
Return to Ulan-Ude. Free time.
Day 6 – Excursion to the Buryuat scientific Center. Visit to the depository oriental
manuscripts, museum and laboratory of biologically active substances of
Tibetan medicine. Meet with researchers. Excursion to the center of
oriental medicine and clinic of oriental medicine. Rest.
Day 7 – Excursion to the museum of history of Buryatia. Seeing of the exposition oа
Buddhist art. Meet with researchers on the subject «Tibetan canon of art».
Excursion to Sampilov art museum. Seeing of the exposition « Buryat traditional
and modern art». Visit of Buryatia’s painters workshops (painting, graphic arts,
jeweller's art). Free time.
Day 8 –Thematic meet « Modern rituals, ceremonies, holidays on the base of Eastern traditions» in the republic scientific methodical center of national creative work
And art. Visit to the national library. Biliographical view of edition. Meet with
authors. Guest reception (dinner)in families with demonstration and commentaries
(traditional clothes, dishes, family relations, rituals of hospitality).
Day 9 – Excursion trip on the itinerary « Chainyi put’» Ulan-Ude – Kyakhta – Ulan-Ude
(500 m). Visit to the Obruchev museum of local lore in Kyakhta.
Day 10 – Automobile excursion «nomads and farmers» (300 m).
Visit to the monument of nature Chingiskhan’s epoch « Nomand’s cave»,
« Merkitskaya’ s fortress», picnic, visit to the family of Old Believers.
Day 11 – Transfer to Ulan-Ude – Turka – Olkhon (bus, cutter. 300m).
Ritual meet with Baikal. Accommodation in a touristic complex.
Day 11 – 14 – Transfer Olkhon – Irkutsk.

Farewell dinner.
